Brewing tea is easy. Its like anything else, the more you do it, the easier it gets. In general, brewing our tea is very forgiving; meaning its very hard to mess it up. Below is a general outline. Please do not feel like it needs to be followed exactly. Its just one way of brewing tea.
You will feel the effects of our tea upon the first sip, as it will undoubtedly bring a smile to your face with its delicious taste and feel good, Kauai-grown, vibrations.
Like no other herbal supplement on the market, our teas provide incredible circulation. We believe circulation is the key to a healthy and vibrant lifestyle. The herbs in the teas increase circulation in your body by breaking up and disposing of harmful toxins. The toxins form blockages that slow down or stagnate circulation. As the blockages are released or broken up, the circulation in your body picks up, which in turns improves the respiratory and digestion functions, among other critical systems in the body. Air and blood are now free to move throughout the body which increases the systems overall energy.
My wife and I began working with the Noni Leaf after moving to Kauai in 2007. We are both resourceful and entrepreneurial and could not understand why no one was using the leaf for medicinal purposes as the Hawaiians did for centuries. As we initially steamed and baked the leaves in our kitchen, we immediately experienced the potent and incredible healing properties of the Noni Leaf. It was amazing to us that so many leaves grew here in the jungle and that no one was utilizing the leaf, which we believed were more balanced medicine than the fruit. The fruit had become extremely popular around the world in recent years. The Noni Leaf gave us energy, helped circulation, digestion and also seemed to create clarity and truth in our lives. We referred to the Noni leaf tea as the “truth serum”, because suddenly we were addressing ourselves and the people surrounding us in truth. While experimenting, I also remember drinking the tea one night and staying up till the wee hours of the morning. No caffeine, just a clean, natural stimulant. So we began making tea and selling our dried tea and brew at the farmers market and in a few of the health food stores. The venture was promising but we realized that without a farm and operating space the business potential was challenging.
I believe that natural remedies are the only way to truly heal oneself. However, for so many reasons, we have been without super fresh, ventilation dried, organically grown, herbal plant medicine that all “medicine” was originally founded on. I have learned through experience that the only way to truly heal oneself or maintain a healthy lifestyle is through such natural remedies. As a result, we have planted some 50 different medicinal plants on the farm. The diversity of such plants allows one to tap into their own systems from so many different perspectives. In other words, we have tools in our body that have become dormant or numb because of our lifestyle, eating habits or environment. However, this does not have to be the case. As we are exposed to so many different medicinal herbs, our awareness of ourselves and our innate skills increase. It’s like traveling to another country and experiencing new foods, new spices and new language. All the sudden you awaken to a completely new way of life. The same is true with the herbs. The more diversity of herbal medicine, the more broad awakening of our internal system is likely to occur.
